American Cancer Society (ACS) volunteers needed!

Transportation is one of the biggest roadblocks to cancer treatment. The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program helps provide the rides that can help save lives.  For those cancer patients who cannot drive themselves or have no other means of getting to their appointments, volunteers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicle to provide patients rides to their potentially lifesaving treatments. We accept drivers who are interested in driving as often as every day, once a month, or as often as they’re able.

There are many patients who are not able to finish treatment due to a lack of transportation in the Shreveport community. Our goal is for every cancer patient to have a ride to their lifesaving treatment! See the flier below for more information!
