Pumpkin Patch at Provenance in search of volunteers!

 The Pumpkin Patch at Provenance runs for the month of October with various activities aimed mostly towards kids with some adult activities thrown in for fun. We are looking for a few volunteers for face painting, reading a story, craft activities, etc. for a few hours maybe once or twice in October. Volunteers will receive a pumpkin or two for their time.

History of the Ark-La-Tex Festival Volunteers needed!

 The History of the Ark-La-Tex (HARK) is sponsoring two children's booths at the Red River Revel and are in need of voulnteers like you! Volunteers will be working with high schoolers and young children. They will need 1-2 volunteers per shift to supervise.

Prize Fest Volunteers Needed!

 Volunteering at Prize Fest is a unique opportunity for LSUS students to plug into this one-of-a-kind art festivals (the largest in the south) and meet community members engaged in and excited about the city's arts-and-culture scene. Prize Fest is a two-weekend-long celebration of the art of film, music, fashion, comedy, and food drawing artists from across the country to downtown Shreveport. Volunteering at the Festival is an invaluable opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of a large arts festival, and should be of interest to anyone curious about the art world or interested in getting more plugged into the cultural scene here in town.

Prize Fest volunteers get free admission to all film prize and music prize events, as well as prize swag and snacks throughout your shift. We are seeking volunteers for all shifts and are willing to pay $5/hour to anyone who volunteers on behalf of LSUS!

Due to Covid-19 rigorous measures have been put in place to ensure this year's festival is safe for all, requiring proof of vaccination or a within 72 hours negative covid test before arrival at any event. 

Volunteers must meet the safety requirements listed above as well as be 16 years or older! 

Requirements:

·  Volunteers under the age of 18 must receive consent from their legal guardian

·  You will receive a virtual training that gives you the rundown of everything you need to know about volunteering at the festival. No experience needed! 

·  Please do not sign up for the "Projectionist" role or for the "Food Prize Come and Get It" event on October 1.Other than that, it's all up for grabs!

·  All volunteers receive a Prize T-shirt, snacks and drinks galore throughout their shifts, and free admission to all Film Prize and Music Prize.

·  Like festival attendees, all volunteers must be ready to provide proof of vaccination or a within-72-hours negative Covid test taken before arrival at shifts.You don't have to give us this information at sign-up (though you can), but you should be ready to provide it when you arrive at your shift.

The Arc Caddo-Bossier's GREAT Program volunteers needed!

 The Arc Caddo-Bossier is a nonprofit that benefits the GREAT Program. Volunteers would work with horses to help people with disabilities and special needs. Anyone 14 years old and older are eligible to volunteer. No horse experience required.
